The needs of our students and how we teach has changed since the pandemic. Students are coming to school with a shorter attention span, greater emotional needs and increased academic challenges. More than ever, teaching needs to include supporting the emotional well being of our students. One of the most powerful tools we have as teachers is to teach students who they are and to believe in their own skills and abilities.
Each student has a story in their head based on past experience (“I’m not smart!” “I am bad at writing”, “I just don’t get math.” “I can’t think of anything, so I’m a loser”). These are the thoughts that create a negative self-image and block students from learning. By recognizing and removing these limited beliefs, replacing them with positive beliefs, our students will be better engaged and ready to learn.

Sue has been a teacher and mentor in the Sooke School District for over 25 years. She is dedicated to teaching students to see their own value and abilities, setting goals and achieving them. It is because of this passion that Sue co-created an online program called 'Time 4 You' that focusses on this very concept and has been coaching and training adults to great results.
Stacy, the co-creator of Time 4 You, has been a personal trainer/lifestyle coach and successful business owner for over 20 years. She has coached youth athletes and clients to reach their goals by teaching tools and strategies on how to overcome automatic negative thinking and create positive self esteem. Her passion and purpose is to help others find joy in life and recognize their worth.
