Developing Writers Using 6+1 Traits of Writing

How do we scaffold writing instruction so that all students in our classroom become stronger, more confident writers? This workshop will give participants a solid understanding of the 6+1 Traits model and provide teaching strategies that help students identify quality in writing, manage their own writing process, and become more confident writers.

    Laura is a Curriculum Coordinator in SD62. She has taught grade 4-9, and loves working with teachers in all things literacy. She is passionate about making writing accessible and meaningful for students, and fostering joy in reading for all learners.
