#OceanDecade Challenge NEW classroom activities and resources for the Ocean Decade

Join Ocean Networks Canada’s K-12 Education Team to explore the new “#OceanDecade Challenge” created in partnership with Girl Guides of Canada and DFO. Facilitators will discuss the program and share activities that are ready to be used in classrooms, outreach centres and even at home. Participants will explore hands-on activities, demos and games that help illustrate the societal outcomes of the #OceanDecade with a uniquely Canadian perspective.  Students and teachers will experience marine science, visualise unique ocean challenges and engage in innovative explorations and activities. Delegates can expect to leave with ready made activity plans and an understanding of Canada’s role in the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).
