Engineering with Newspaper

Design thinking is a step-by-step process for creative problem solving, and uses empathy and experimentation to come up with exciting and innovative solutions to unique problems. In this workshop, participants will use design thinking while exploring a hands-on engineering design challenge! The challenge is to create a newspaper shoe prototype that adheres to certain constraints and incorporates sustainable thinking. This workshop provides participants with the opportunity to try a hands-on, curriculum-connected science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activity, as well as gain the knowledge and confidence to bring similar activities into their classrooms.
