The earlier we teach kids about money and personal finance, the more they will understand the concepts when they come up later in school and in life. This workshop will present a free resource tailored to middle school teachers to help them tackle some of the sometimes daunting aspects of financial literacy. The resource includes a book of plans and a video series geared toward middle school students that cover topics such as work and income, taxes and what they are, investing and what that means as well as simple household budgeting. The resource is easy to follow and each lesson can stand alone or be taught as part of the series for that grade. All workshop participants who wish will recieve an electronic copy of the resources and links to the videos. If you have ever shyed away from teaching financial literacy in the middle grades because you were not sure where to start, this is the workshop for you.
